Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 3rd California Adaptation Forum! With a jam-packed program and over 700 expected participants, it will be a true team effort to ensure that the event runs smoothly and for all of our participants to have the best experience possible! We invite you to join our team in Sacramento to make the 3rd California Adaptation Forum the best one yet!
Forum Organizers will be prioritizing youth including CivicSpark Fellows, high school students, college students, and young professionals, and applicants who represent communities of color. Through this effort, we hope to make the Forum more accessible to our next generation of adaptation leaders. In exchange for volunteering for 12 hours over the 3-day event, volunteers will receive complimentary registration. Forum Organizers will also work with volunteers to provide financial support to help cover lodging expenses. Aside from these tangible benefits, volunteers have the opportunity to interact and network with California’s fiercest adaptation leaders and learn about the latest science, trends, and initiatives in the fast-paced adaptation field.
The priority deadline for volunteer applications is Tuesday, July 10th. If space remains after this date, we will continue accepting applications on a rolling basis. Please allow approximately two weeks to hear back on the status of your application once it has been submitted. If you have any questions regarding the volunteer application process, please contact Dunstanette Macauley at firstname.lastname@example.org or 916-448-1198 x320.
