The 2018 California Adaptation Forum Scholarship Fund has been established through the generous support from the following sponsors to enable under-resourced individuals and organizations to attend the Forum. Through this scholarship fund, we aim to broaden participation to work towards a more accurate representation of California’s diverse population at the Forum.
Scholarships of up to $1,000 will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis with need, background, and forum diversity goals taken into consideration. Scholarships will be provided in the form of reimbursements to cover expenses related to attending the Forum including registration, lodging, travel, and meals not covered at the Forum. Community-based organizations, tribal representatives, non-profit organizations, local government agencies, and elected officials working to advance climate adaptation and environmental justice in frontline communities are eligible to apply for scholarships.
Please note that we have a very limited amount of scholarship funds remaining, which will only be awarded to tribal representatives moving forward. Please allow approximately two weeks to hear back on the status of your application once it has been submitted. If you have any questions regarding the scholarship process, please contact Dunstanette Macauley at firstname.lastname@example.org or 916-448-1198 x320.
